Study Information

If you have decided that you wish to study abroad, the next step is to learn about the application process of your chosen country, institutions and documents required for entry.

You don’t need to apply alone with Study Globally free application is available to all Nigerian students.

We provide service for everyone. However, to make sure you get the most out of your time studying abroad and have the best chance of applying successfully, we recommend the following minimum qualifications:

Foundation courses

If you’ve achieved 5 WAEC/NECO subjects (including Mathematics and English Language) with minimum grades of 1-6 or A-D, you’ll usually need to do a foundation year before doing an undergraduate course such as a Bachelor’s degree.

Undergraduate courses

Minimum Level of Education Required: 1-Year Post-Secondary Certificate

Min GPA: 60.0% Convert grades

English Proficiency Requirements:

International Baccalaureate

Most courses will require between 24 and 31 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB), depending on the degree you apply for.

You must have studied relevant subjects and achieved strong grades.

Advanced Diplomas from APTECH/NCC and Informatics

  • If you have completed ADSE (APTECH) with credit or achieved GPA of 2.0 (NCC/Informatics), you may be considered for final year (top-up).
  • If you achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 or above at ADSE, you can be considered for final year (top-up)

Please note: Detailed transcripts must be provided.

You may be able to join an undergraduate course with other qualifications.

Postgraduate courses

For entry to Master’s programmes, you’ll usually need to have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised Higher Education institution:

  • 2:1 is equivalent to GPA of 3.5/5.0 (60-69%)
  • 2:2 is equivalent to GPA of 3.0/5.0 (50-59%)

Although some courses may require a higher overall CGPA, some education institutions may consider applications with a slightly lower GPA on an individual basis.

If you don’t meet the postgraduate entry requirements, you can do a pre-Master’s programme.

English Language Requirements

When applying for education institution, it’s important that you can speak and understand English to the level that your course requires.

To study abroad English is a requirement. IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, IGCSE and a Grade C6 or above in English on the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) are accepted in some education institution.

Do not worry if your currently short of the standard requirement, We can refer you to a range of English Language Programs that will get you to the necessary level.

Scholarships and Bursaries
